Basic MindTerm Usage

To launch MindTerm from your browser, check out

  http://support.appgate.com/mindterm/demo/index.php

(I believe this only works for unix and windows currently, both Netscape and IE.)

• grant security permissions
• create mindterm directories

Settings, New Server

• server name
• user name
• authentication method

When running from a browser, java requires security clearance to access your hard drive (required if you need MindTerm to read your private key for public key authentication) and to access an ssh server which is not also the webserver from which you ran MindTerm. Failing to create the MindTerm directories can cause some problems, but most things should still work.

When choosing the public key authentication method, you should Browse to find the private key you wish to use.
